Leh to Close places.

From Leh we had plans to visit several close by places.

On our first day, we had planned to visit Khardungla pass - World's highest motorable road.
To Visit there a road permit is required by local body authorities which is usually been arranged by the hotel authority.

Everyone advised to carry a photo identity card and a couple of password size photographs because here it is required.

You will receive the road permit at your door steps, you dont need to be in any hassle.

In Leh City there are a lot of local places to Visit such as Monasteries, shanti stupa, the small mosque, former palace of the king of the ladakh & many more places.

Retiring at the hotel with a couple if kittens we found strolling in the hotel corridors.

Khandungla pass.

We reached back to the Leh hotel at evening around 8:00 PM.
Khardung La pass is almost 40 km from Leh but it takes much time as the climate conditions become suddenly severe as we ride high. the terrain is quite steep and rough patchy.

It tooks a lot of time for photography as well..
While some riders felt nausea who choose to hop on to the cargo truck with us.

On our second day we had plan to go to the World famous Pangong-tso Lake.
For that we have to take one night halt Tangste. It is almost 112 Km from Leh city and then Pangong-Tso lake is 50 km away from Tangste.
